Staff Software Engineer, Android

Toast is seeking a Staff Android Software Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative solutions that revolutionize how guests interact and pay digitally with restaurants. As a key player in Toast's ecosystem, which processes billions in payments through mobile consumer experiences, you'll be instrumental in developing the next generation of digital restaurant payment solutions.

In this role, you'll be part of the Consumer Pay team, where you'll have a significant impact on shaping the consumer payment experience. Your responsibilities will include developing an excellent Android app that complements the iOS app and delivers an exceptional digital payment experience. You'll also be tasked with building restaurant-facing experiences on the point of sale system that staff will use to interact with guests through our Android and iOS consumer apps.

Working alongside our Principal Android software developer, you'll execute strategies to achieve Android feature parity, conduct experiments, implement rapid iterations, and have a strong voice in directing the future of our Consumer initiatives. The role requires extensive experience in Android development, with deep expertise in Java/Kotlin and a proven track record of shipping production services.
