Townsquare Media, a leading media and entertainment company, is seeking a Broadcast Radio Automation Systems Engineer to join their technical team. This role is crucial for maintaining the company's extensive network of 318 radio stations and digital platforms across 74 U.S. markets. The position combines traditional broadcast engineering with modern digital systems, requiring expertise in both radio automation systems and IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring 100% uptime of station broadcasting and streaming services, managing automation systems, and providing technical support across multiple locations. The position requires a strong technical background with at least three years of experience in computer systems, preferably with broadcast radio automation expertise. Responsibilities For Broadcast Radio Automation Systems Engineer

  • Manage activities for 100% uptime of station on-air and streaming products
  • Installation, maintenance and support of Broadcast automation and Audio over IP systems
  • Manage automation and scheduling security for appropriate user access
  • Provide remote break/fix support for radio stations
  • Train new users on software platform features
  • Maintain personal computers, servers, printers, and software
  • Install and support LAN systems
  • Travel to markets for installations, upgrades, and support

Requirements For Broadcast Radio Automation Systems Engineer

  • Broadcast radio automation experience required
  • Technical training school or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Proficiency with Windows workstation and server operating systems
  • Experience with MSSQL, AD User/Group management, VMWare
  • Knowledge of Audio over IP systems (Wheatnet/Axia)
  • Networking experience with Cisco/Fortinet
  • Understanding of radio automation and operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
