Description For Frontend / Full Stack Engineer

Unblu Inc. is a leading provider of secure engagement and collaboration software for financial institutions, helping banks and insurance companies deliver in-person experiences online. As a Frontend/Full Stack Engineer in their core product development team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the web frontend of Unblu Spark. The role involves creating new components, translating UX designs into functional software, and contributing to their frontend framework for complex, dynamic single page applications.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse team of over 30 nationalities across 8 locations.

Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining the frontend of Unblu's video, audio, and chat conversations, working with their proprietary frontend framework, and contributing to Java backend services when needed. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java/Kotlin programming, CSS layouting, and browser APIs, along with a good understanding of frontend frameworks.

Responsibilities For Frontend / Full Stack Engineer

  • Build the web frontend of Unblu Spark, translating UX designs into functional code
  • Implement and maintain frontend of video, audio and chat conversations, agent, visitor and administrative UIs
  • Maintain and add new features to the Unblu frontend framework
  • Contribute to Java backend services
  • Participate in architecture, software design, effort estimation, implementation testing and documentation
  • Work with UX, Product Management, QA and other core product development teams

Requirements For Frontend / Full Stack Engineer

  • Strong experience in programming Java or Kotlin applications
  • Strong experience in CSS layouting and styling for multiple browsers and device sizes
  • Good understanding of Browser APIs (Web/Service Workers, Notification, Network stack)
  • Conceptual understanding of frontend frameworks like Angular or React
  • University degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
  • Excellent communication in English
