Job Description
Usul is revolutionizing the interaction between companies and governments with its AI platform, which matches companies to government contract opportunities. As the Founding Engineer, you will build the pipeline to make government data useful and collaborate with users to optimize data browsing and interpretation. The role requires in-person work at the San Francisco office, offering the opportunity to tackle critical national security problems while building intuitive UIs with React & NextJS, and utilizing Python.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of SWE experience, proficiency in AI agents and LLMs, and strong presentation skills. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $130K - $230K, along with equity ranging from 0.5%-1.5%. Usul fosters a lean team of hackers, misfits, dropouts, and defense enthusiasts. Requirements
- 2 years minimum of SWE Experience
- Knows how to build AI Agents and utilize LLMs effectively
- Confidence to present to (and get roasted by) our customers
- Work in-person at our San Francisco office
- Passion for solving mission-critical national security problems
- Builds intuitive UIs with React & NextJS
- Use Python
- Willing to learn and iterate quickly
- 0 - 7 years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, ideally 70/30 backend/frontend leaning but can work comfortably across the stack
