Description For (USA) Quality Engineer III

Walmart/VIZIO is seeking a Quality Engineer III to join their Inscape QA Team, focusing on ensuring quality standards for Vizio TV embedded systems and firmware. This role is perfect for someone passionate about quality assurance in innovative technology products.

The position involves working with cutting-edge embedded systems and firmware for Vizio TV, where you'll be responsible for executing various types of testing including blackbox, white-box, and functional test cases. You'll be performing validation and exploratory testing to ensure ACR data accuracy, and conducting test executions across the full technical stack from embedded clients to SOC firmware.

The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of software engineering experience, strong knowledge of testing methodologies, and experience with device/cloud automation. You'll need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong communication abilities to work effectively across different divisions.

Responsibilities For (USA) Quality Engineer III

  • Execute blackbox/white-box/functional test cases for embedded clients and firmware
  • Perform validation and exploratory/manual test coverage to ensure accuracy of ACR data
  • Conduct test executions on the full technical stack from embedded clients to SOC firmware
  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering/QA teams to identify and address test coverage gaps
  • Automate manual test cases using BDD frameworks and report/document test coverage

Requirements For (USA) Quality Engineer III

  • 2+ years of proven experience in software engineering
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies and experience in device testing/API testing/embedded systems
  • Experience with device/cloud automation
  • Strong analytical mind, critical-thinking skills, and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area (or 4 years equivalent experience)
