Staff Engineer, Backend Platform

As a Staff Engineer, Backend Platform at Zūm, you'll join a dynamic engineering team at their Redwood City headquarters. This hybrid role requires on-site presence 3 days per week (Monday - Thursday), specifically targeting Bay Area-based candidates. You'll be instrumental in architecting and building Zūm's technology platform, working with a team of 2-4 backend developers to deliver high-impact solutions.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex technical challenges while making a meaningful impact in the education sector. You'll be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from architectural design to deployment, focusing on building scalable systems and APIs. The position requires expertise in backend technologies like Node.js, Java, or Python, along with experience in cloud environments and microservice architectures.
