As with system design interviews, behavioral interview expectations increase with seniority. This round is our chance to bring our resume to life by showing how we think and lead as ML engineers.

• Junior ML engineers should focus on clearly explaining their contributions and demonstrating how they applied ML techniques with guidance.
• Senior engineers need to showcase how they led ML projects end-to-end, made thoughtful trade-offs, and influenced product or technical decisions.
• Staff-level engineers should highlight strategic, cross-team contributions—like building reusable ML platforms, solving ambiguous problems, and mentoring others.
