Having worked at other healthcare startups, Abridge has a really impressive culture focusing on building the best possible product. There’s a lot of trust and agency that stems from that culture.
From senior executives (CEO, CTO, COO, etc.) all the way down to individual contributors, it has felt like a breath of fresh air. Everyone is able to speak up and be heard about just about any aspect of product development, without others getting defensive or territorial.
Everyone I’ve interacted with has been super generous with their time in welcoming and onboarding new folks.
Abridge is remote-first, which can make it a little harder to connect with colleagues. However, there are regular company/team on-sites, which strike a good balance between spending time with colleagues and having time/flexibility to do focused work remotely.

The interview process was clear and well-structured. The recruiter was very nice and supportive throughout. The interviewer explained expectations clearly, and the coding task was straightforward and at an easy level.
The recruiter was quick and set up a meeting. I talked with the hiring manager. We went over various EM role behavior questions, followed by a coding challenge. The company has a great product using AI.
