In our batch (2016-2020), we had a new Communication Assessment, which we had to undertake in a specific portal that tested candidates' LSR skills. It was not an elimination round, but it was mandatory for all candidates to attend. It was August 19, 2019, after meeting the eligibility criteria and successful completion of the Communication Assessment, we sat for a pre-placement talk, where the HR explained the selection process.
Round 1 - Cognitive and Technical MCQs. 90 questions in 90 minutes. The portal used in our batch was Co-cubes.
It was very easy if you had clear preparation and hands-on aptitude skills. The main constraint was time. Each section had a sectional cutoff, so you had to spend equal time on all sections, with much time for Technical MCQs. Many students who were well-versed in aptitude and technical HR got rejected because of time.
Also, in our batch, Accenture visited to hire students for two roles: ASE and FSE. So, if you cleared the first round, you could attend the coding round for the FSE role, where you could find two questions and were allowed to code in any language. If you couldn't get cleared, there were no issues. You were eligible for the second round and for the ASE role.
Then, the next day, August 20, 2019, we had our:
Round 2 - Group Interview.
Five persons from different branches were allowed to a HR panel. In this, they just checked our communication and the way of speaking. Trust me, in our college, 90% of the students who cleared the first round got selected in this round.
Only thing in this round was to speak. High importance and preparation were needed only for the first round.
In the second round, they asked the students to introduce themselves separately. Then, they asked about our projects individually and some technical questions related to our projects. Following that, there were general questions like recent information about the company, what you would do in your free time, hobbies, how you face negativities, whether you are willing to work midnight shifts, and if you are willing to relocate. Then, some debate topics were presented, and each person's opinions on those particular topics were discussed, etc.
