Process

Accenture came to our campus at the start of the 7th semester for the role of ASE.

They were recruiting from all branches. The basic criteria was to have a CGPA greater than 6.5.

There were two rounds of interview:

  1. Online Test - It consisted of basic aptitude questions and English grammar questions. This was easy to clear. You can solve questions from indiabix.com or refer to the RS Aggarwal book to prepare for this round.

  2. Group Interview - If the online test was cleared, the following day interviews would be conducted. As of 2017, Accenture on our campus always conducted a group interview, wherein there would be:

    • 5 candidates
    • 2 interviewers (usually 1 technical + 1 HR)

Interview - In the interview, basic HR questions would be asked first, including questions like your strengths, weaknesses, willingness to relocate, and what if you get a role you don't desire.

The interviewer would also ask if you had knowledge of new technologies and would ask questions on that if you said yes. It is recommended to learn the basics of any programming language if you don't know anything about technologies or are not from a CS/IT background. There are many online sites and YouTube videos to get started with; typically, one can learn the basics in almost 3 days.

Interview time: 25 minutes (5 minutes to each candidate).

One important thing to highlight is that the interviewer will judge you based on your communication skills. This means that if you are able to communicate or explain things well, chances are high that you will be selected.

Above interview questions are a generalized form of how a typical interview experience with Accenture looks like. Based on your interviewer and the way you answer questions, communication skills, and questions may vary.

Questions

What is your strength and your weakness?

If you get a role you don't desire, will you take it at this early stage?

Do you know anything about new technologies/programming languages?

Was this helpful?
