Process

Accenture visited our campus at IET DAVV, Indore for campus recruitment. Prior to the recruitment process, students had completed the necessary formalities, including form submissions and document verification. Accenture conducted 2-3 virtual pre-placement talks before the recruitment process began. Note: A PAN card is mandatory for candidates applying to Accenture.

Round 1: Cognitive and Technical Assessment Date: 5 September 2024 Duration: 90 minutes Number of Questions: 90 Platform: MSB Domains Covered: Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Technical Questions (Cloud, Azure, MS Excel, Networking, Programming, etc.)

The results of the Cognitive Assessment were declared immediately after completing the test. The test window had a timer that refreshed every few minutes, so there was no need to worry about time management.

Round 2: Coding Assessment After successfully completing the Cognitive and Technical Assessment, shortlisted candidates moved on to the Coding Round on the same day. This round consisted of two coding questions, both at an easy difficulty level.

Coding Questions:

  • Find the number of 1's in a given binary number. Input: 1011 Output: 3

  • Determine which team wins in a competition based on given inputs of wins for Team A and Team B. Input: 5 TeamA TeamB TeamA TeamB TeamB Output: TeamB

I managed to solve both questions within 5-10 minutes and successfully completed the Coding Round. After this, I received an email from Accenture confirming my successful completion of the coding assessment and providing details for the next steps.

Round 3: Communication Assessment A few days later, shortlisted students received a link for the Communication Assessment. I completed this round on 11 September 2024. Although it was a non-elimination round, the score is included in the final evaluation. The assessment consisted of a listening and speaking test, where we had to accurately repeat words and sentences based on instructions. There was also a short summary section requiring us to give a brief summary after listening to a paragraph.

After 2-3 days, I received an email to select my interview slot, with options available from 10 AM to 4 PM in 20-minute intervals.

Round 4: Interview Approximately 210 students were shortlisted for the final interview. My interview took place on 18 September 2024 and lasted about 15 minutes. The interview focused on project discussions and HR questions, with no technical questions asked.

Key Points from My Interview:

Project-Related Questions:

  • Explain your best project.
  • What difficulties did you face while making your project, and how did you overcome them?
  • Discuss challenges faced in group projects.
  • Why did you choose to use MongoDB in your project? (Relevant to my MERN stack project on my resume.)

HR Questions:

  • A discussion based on my resume.
  • Why are you proficient in C++?
  • What is your least favorite subject?
  • Do you have any questions for us?

I joined the interview lobby on the HirePro/Accenture Interview Platform about 10 minutes before my scheduled time and was fortunate to get my interviewer within 5 minutes. Some of my peers had to wait over 30 minutes for their interviews, leading to rescheduling for some on 27 September 2024.

Final Outcome: After the interview, I received an email stating that I would get the final results within 10-15 working days. The final selection for the role (ASE or AASE) was based on cumulative scores from all rounds.

On 9 October 2024, our college TNP received the final results. Out of the candidates interviewed, 68 students were shortlisted, and I was proud to be one of them. All selected students received a congratulatory email, while rejected candidates received notification emails.

Conclusion: This was my journey through the Accenture recruitment process, and I am thrilled to announce that I am officially placed in the current market scenario!
