A technical sourcer reached out and asked some basic SQL/Python questions, which I answered. After a few weeks, a recruiter reached out and scheduled an interview.
The process was a bit disorganized. When I asked the recruiter if there was anything I should be familiar with, she didn't know. For example, I asked, "Is there a specific dialect of SQL that the interview would be done in?" She joked that it "was a secret." Needless to say, I wasn't given a lot of context on the role I'd be working on.
I was even more surprised when someone from Facebook showed up to my Accenture interview. Apparently, Accenture had someone at Facebook interview me for the data engineering role.
The whole process was honestly quite confusing.
