Process

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks.

The interview process for the DevOps Team Lead position at Accenture consisted of three rounds:

  • HR round (30 minutes): The initial conversation covered my professional background, current responsibilities, motivation for joining Accenture, and expectations for the role. We also discussed practical details such as notice period and compensation expectations.
  • Technical round: This round explored both hands-on DevOps knowledge and experience leading a team. Topics included CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, containerization, monitoring, and production troubleshooting. For a lead position, it helps to prepare examples that explain your technical decisions, the trade-offs involved, and how you guided the team through delivery challenges.
  • Behavioral/Cultural fit round: The discussion focused on leadership style, stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and handling competing priorities. Examples of mentoring team members, managing incidents under pressure, and collaborating across teams are useful preparation.

Advice for candidates: Prepare a few strong project examples that demonstrate both technical depth and leadership. Use the STAR method for behavioral answers, and clearly explain your own contribution and the measurable results.
