This was an initial phone call interview with a non-technical person. They did not talk about Accenture at all but wanted to get to know me first.
After my 3-minute intro, they started with general questions and transitioned into way too private topics, like my current salary and if I applied to any other jobs recently.
I responded by asking them the same thing, to see if they were ready to share. They were not. The answer was that Accenture needs to know my current salary in order not to insult me with an offer below that one.
My conclusion: They'd love to pay you just over what you are currently making.
