Cons: Time is not expected to be claimed for side-of-desk work that is not included in client contract hours.

Cons: If you work here, be prepared for a wave of bureaucracy around every single internal process imaginable. The terrible mandatory ‘training’ you have to do that everyone just flicks through without actually reading. As an apprentice, you get absolutely minimal respect from both the apprentice team and the people on your project. The company pretends to care about its employees, but when I was suffering from mental health issues and had to take sick leave, upon my return, I was met with a barrage of abuse from the apprentice lead for Newcastle, saying I can’t take a single day off or do a single thing wrong or I’ll be fired on the spot, and criticizing me for needing time off. If you file a complaint with HR, expect it to come back to bite you. Unfair performance reviews. No recognition for anyone except bootlickers to senior people within the Newcastle management team. Terrible pay for the amount you do. Sub-par holiday allowance. All the benefits that were good have now been taken away. Very little opportunity for progression. Toxic work culture and a cut-throat environment with people fighting for scraps – this isn’t the 1990s; it shouldn’t be this way anymore. No real sense of being part of a team.

Pros: It is a good place to work.

Cons: I can't think of any, to be honest.
