After referral, I got an interview invitation. But it got cancelled.
After 1 week, it got scheduled again. I cleared all rounds, viz.
on the same day. I was waiting for an offer, then came the irritating part of the Accenture interview process.
My status in the portal went again to the initiate state from interview. I somehow contacted HR, and he told me that although I had cleared all rounds, before the MCQ, when I showcased my Govt ID, it didn't get properly tracked, so you need to give that again.
I got a call from a different person the next day for a fresh interview. (I told her that I already had all rounds cleared, including HR discussion). I had taken leave again, and this time I turned on all lights and properly showcased the ID card. Again, I cleared the MCQ and technical interview, but in the HR round, no one joined.
The technical team person started blaming me, saying, "Why didn't you tell me you already had all rounds cleared?" I told him that I already informed this to the lady who called me.
Nothing happened. From that day onwards, I got 30+ calls for a fresh interview. Every time I used to say the same thing: that I had already given all rounds and was waiting for an offer letter.
In between, I got another offer, and after almost 2 months of these random calls, one day HR called me and confirmed my location, and the next day I had an offer but without salary discussion.
I joined a different company.
Companies like Accenture need to rework the recruitment part a lot. This is completely unexpected from such a big firm.
