Pros

Accenture is a wonderful company to kick-start one's career. It is a very large organization with a lot of opportunities, as it taps its fingers into most industries. As a consulting business, it really teaches the necessity of networking and calibrates the ability to be always interview-ready.

Cons

While Accenture has tons of opportunities, not all of them are that glamorous. Accenture is the master of propaganda (read marketing), getting especially newcomers excited about amazing, cutting-edge projects they will be working on. However, Accenture's core business is still large-scale data migrations and transformations, and it is to be expected to end on a project like that at least once.

Furthermore, Accenture is a very generalist company, so if you want to develop very specific tech skills, Accenture will not be the key player in the market.

The other cons from my experience are that in order to get promoted, it is not sufficient to only do a good job at work. In fact, that is assumed, and one needs to do a lot of extracurricular work to stand out. Often, this involves working on proposals until late at night or organizing endless events. Finally, in order to progress to the very senior roles, it is necessary to almost run one's own business.

As a result, there is a myriad of very similar groups (data science, ML engineering, AI engineering, AI analytics) whose sole purpose is to help someone become a managing director, resulting in a lot of duplicate efforts rather than actually cooperating with each other.
