Pros

It's impossible for management to bully you unless you willingly don't report them. The no retaliation policy is strictly implemented.

Unlimited opportunity for training; though if you will actually have time to take advantage of this is dependent on your project's toxicity.

Health benefits are one of the best in the country (you'll need it).

Cons
  • Low salary in comparison to the competition.
  • New hires don't get to choose the technology they'll be put in; the job/tech you're applying for in your resume will never matter unless you're an experienced hire, and even that is not a guarantee.
  • One of the worst offenders of ghosting in the country, though this one is self-inflicted by employees at the lower levels as their Leads can't be bothered to adhere to core hours, leading impressionable new hires to do the same. People often work overtime for 1-2 hours every day, not expecting overtime pay.
  • Whether you'll last is dependent on the project lottery. Some are incredibly toxic, most are fair, and very few only do tickets and maintenance (hence the easiest).
