Accenture fired associates like crazy during Covid without any explanation whatsoever. Managers get a count of people to be fired from upper management and they comply without giving it any thought.
At least give reasons or let the associate plead their case if they are being fired. Firing itself is not bad; it is necessary for business. How you do it tells you a lot about the company's culture.
