The allocation of streams is a random process without candidates having much say. I have seen bright candidates stuck into testing or mundane tasks, while a few unskilled candidates struggled with development tasks.
I really feel the stream allocation policy must be merit-based rather than random. This will help the right candidates be in the right fields and possibly decrease the attrition rate.
