There are meager salary hikes for many years. With their profits, they just break down and upgrade already perfect offices, or acquire other companies.
Spend on the people whom you're training so much, rather than breaking down already perfect offices to upgrade them for the 100th time. You're just fueling the success of other companies when those trained people switch.
