• Team Leads generally want to ensure that they remain in good light under the manager and hence they won't mind over-pressurizing you.

We can take feedback from the respective team members about their immediate seniors. The promotion of a team leader should not depend only on higher management's feedback but from the people down the hierarchy as well.
