Appreciation, etc., totally depends from team to team. I'd say I'm lucky enough to land in one which is amazing!
Good luck with that is all I can say, though.
I'm not really sure if they'll allow you to switch projects in case you're not happy with your current role or project.

There were three rounds of tests: one aptitude, technical, and coding assessments. After passing all three, I never got a chance to give the interview, as I did not receive any further communication.
