If you got unlucky and were put in a project that you don't like and nobody likes, you'll be stuck there forever. It'll be hard to get your request for a transfer approved. Even managers are applying for transfer.
Try to investigate if your employees are suitable for the job assigned; otherwise, you'll just push them to burnout. They ended up resigning to escape the death trap of a project.
