Micromanagement by the leads is intolerable. Leads force us to do things and then take the applause for it. It's your fault if you ask for leave; you won't get breathing room if you have a 24/7 role.
Things should be more transparent. Leaves should be given as and when necessary, with respect to the balance of absence.
