Pros
  • Friendly and knowledgeable colleagues.
  • Exposure to Scrum and how project management works.
  • Project rotation if you don't like sticking to the same project.
Cons
  • There is no such thing as an Accenture culture; you sit with the client and follow theirs.
  • Trainings are just for show to market themselves as caring for employees; most don't take part in them.
  • Project quality is by luck, and having a good lead is also by luck.
  • You are simply told what to do; innovation is not part of the equation.
  • The focus is on project management and not programming practice; there is no code review, you get the job done, and you are all set.
Advice to Management
  • Standardize your evaluation process and develop KPIs.
  • Set up mentor training to ensure your project leads know how to lead.
  • Hire based on actual needs; we are not here to sit in your resource pool waiting to get charged.
