Sometimes they don't value your talent unless you put down the paper and decide to move on. Then you might get some sort of opportunity in terms of a hike, promotion, or onshore, all of which should have happened without putting down the paper if you think someone deserved it.
I have come across this kind of politics, so please ensure people get what they deserve.
There are some managers who micromanage and make employees' lives hell, hence they move out of Accenture, which they don't want. So, have some sort of system for that which ACTUALLY works.
