Pros

Good response even after resigning.

  • To get an experience certificate for later purposes, like getting a visa for a new company.
  • Final settlement is so quick.

But these are expected responses from an MNC like Accenture. I worked there for 12 years, so check my cons...

Cons
  1. Accenture offshore takes instruction from onshore (assumed they consider each and every one at onshore of Accenture as GOD). So no questions are to be asked, like master and slaves.

  2. Accenture does background checks for employees and keeps them even if the background check fails. But they ask employees to leave if they are on the bench. The expected outcome is the same outcome if a person is on a project or on the bench.

  3. If you resign when on the bench, you will be asked to leave the company in 1 week to save some cost to the company. This happened to my close friends. It is a biggest pain area sometimes (still depends on individuals).

  4. Offshore managers/directors in India are questioned by onshore Accenture, even at the developer level. Offshore managers/directors have no choice but to obey the orders of even developers/testers (i.e., junior level) from onshore. This means the offshore team suffers for nothing while they work at Accenture.

  5. Ready for late evening work and happy weekend work.
