As a contract-based worker, your job is as long as your contract is with the client for that project, so you need to constantly be looking for new project/contract opportunities. This could be a pro if you like to change up jobs often.
Continuing to outsource IT development and even some analyst work to external vendors and/or offshore may take the heart out of the company. This could mean losing key or core knowledge, as well as good people and talent.
