Room for growth. Friendly work environment. Remote work is pretty lax, and you aren't micromanaged much, so it's less stressful.
Contract work so companies can drop a mass amount of employees whenever with little notice.
HR is horrible. They are little to no help in redeploying employees to a new job, so any chance of being reassigned falls entirely on you.
If you are hired for "on-call," they will take advantage of that. They may say you work M-F, but they are allowed to change it to whatever (e.g., off M & Tu, have to work W-Sun). So if you value family and friend time, I would suggest emailing HR to say you absolutely cannot work weekends.
Tell you that you will get overtime pay for holidays but then pay you in credit that you can redeem, which is technically legal. But credit points do not pay things like rent or bills, etc. (but hey! you can buy a new knife set for your kitchen, right? :)
Will make you do 2-in-1 jobs. The majority of our team was hired to be analysts and somehow were given the task to become trainers as well without any pay increase.
ADVICE:
Be honest. Be transparent.
Fight more for your employees' rights, wants, and needs by telling the clients you need more time or that employees may be upset with decisions. Your employees are humans, not just assets, so treat them as such.
Please stop using the excuse, "Well the client wants it, sorry," and then adding more work to your employees' schedules when it's already full.
Please stop promoting people who are only vocal or waste meeting time and are not actually knowledgeable about a product. When you join, you will quickly figure out that management/higher-level employees don't usually know what they are doing.
Please hire actual competent people and stop wasting time training new people for weeks. Just let people go if they are not passing the training in the first trial. If you continue to hire incompetent people, this only adds more work for your hard-working employees and burns them out.
The interview was smooth and good. Initially, the interviewer introduced himself, his role, and project details. Then, basic manual testing questions were asked. Detailed answers helped me to share my working experience with the tool and its concepts
Initial screening, technical assessment, and interview with QA team. Topics include automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and coding skills. Potential hands-on coding or test scenario exercise. Follow-up discussions and offer negotiation.
Easy process and feedback on time. There were 3 rounds for the Senior Test Engineer position: * HR Round * Technical Round * Manager Round I applied through referral. Easy interview.
