Pros
  1. Good salary hike for lateral hiring.
  2. Good onsite opportunity if working in a client project.
  3. Work-life balance is very good.
  4. Good learning and training opportunity.
  5. Flexible working hours, but depends upon project requirements and project manager.
  6. If working in shifts, then you get shift and cab allowances.
Cons
  1. Very little hike in the next increment cycle for lateral hiring.

  2. For US and UK, only TLs can have onsite opportunities.

  3. Negative scope of cross-training, for example, from .NET to Java.

  4. They may mislead you regarding variable pay. When you leave, you will likely lose three months of variable pay. To receive the variable pay, you must be a company employee on the payment date. If your last working day is one day before, you will not receive any variable pay.

  5. No variable pay or increment if you miss even a single mandatory training, even if it is of no use to you.

  6. Many support and maintenance projects.

  7. You do not have the opportunity to select projects and technologies.

  8. Some managers are so cheap that they exploit onsite or any other opportunities given to you for themselves.

  9. No support from HR.

Advice to Management

Pay a variable amount to the employees for the number of days. It was an employee.
