Pros
  1. They allow access to popular learning portals based on approval from your manager.

  2. I learned that they conduct cultural activities, sports, or some recreational activities, etcetera. Although I'm not exactly sure because I joined during COVID and there weren't any because of that.

  3. They do conduct additional sessions, like music sessions from popular singers and mental wellness sessions, etcetera. Although I've only seen them on email but never really got a chance to attend, mostly because of work.

  4. Shift allowances are provided if you're working on a different shift other than your country's.

Cons
  1. The support team's response is poor, whether it's teams within Accenture (for tickets related to HR, Payroll, etc.) or 3rd party vendors (for tickets related to IT infrastructure). For any queries you might have, you're expected to raise a ticket and wait a day. (This part, at least, I understand because of the workload.) But the worst part is their reply to your query sometimes doesn't really make sense at all. Mostly, I've ended up just giving up.

  2. Managerial decisions are sometimes very poor, making you wonder if they're going out of their way to just make your life miserable.

  3. There are a lot of word games in the offer letter that you might really need to pay attention to. One big pitfall in my case is this sentence, quoted under "Benefits": "Your fixed pay in this offer letter includes the cost of premium to cover above-mentioned parents or parents-in-law." This meant I'll be paying the insurance premium for my parents and parents-in-law. I paid the premium in 3 installments (deducted in salary). My only and biggest concern here is, how could this be a benefit if I'm paying for it?

  4. They enforce a lot of processes, such as filling surveys and attending sessions (a few are good, most are just for the sake of completion), etc. If you fail to complete them, it might result in a lesser salary that month.

  5. Coming to your actual work, it all depends on your project manager. If he/she is actually sensible, you're truly blessed and you'll have much less burden (you only need to deal with overall company processes and unnecessary stuff). But if you aren't, you'll be required to do a lot of unnecessary things, introduced to a lot of pressure, and hate your job. One of my managers said we're lucky that we got a public holiday that week and we'll be able to complete the backlog tasks. So, in short, if you're basically expecting a paycheck at the end of the month to pay your bills, feel free to join. If you joined the job because you liked it and are very passionate about it, please do yourself a favor and find a better company that deserves your worth. (That one came out like relationship advice ).
