  3. Many communities to contribute your non-work related skills.

  4. Globally recognized.

  5. Good stepping stone for your advanced career.

Cons

These cons are the ones I encountered in Accenture Indonesia, Jakarta Office:

  • The opportunity to be in consulting workforce is only limited to graduates from public and overseas universities.
  • The annual performance rating is subjective to how popular you are in front of the managers, not your performance.
  • The training for solution and service workforce is very limited compared to the consulting workforce.
  • Really focused on recruitment but not on keeping current employees.
  • Low salaries and low opportunities, especially in the non-consulting workforce.
  • Skill development only considers project availability, not your choice.
  • Managers usually sell low-cost projects, which determines the budget, hence no overtime bonus for employees.
Advice to Management

Some advice that might be considered:

  1. Change the HR Management.
  2. Give more opportunities to graduates from private universities into the consulting workforce.
  3. Keep the development of people in mind, not only to satisfy project manager needs.
  4. Focus on individual choice in their career development.
