Pros

If you are best at being a brown-noser (kissing up to upper management), this is the company for you. There's not much to say for this company; you are better off working for a...

Cons

People who get promotions only work at corporate headquarters. If you are a contractor working on-site, then good luck getting yearly salary increments or promotions. With higher inflation in 2021 and 2022, they did not provide cost-of-living salary increments.

Insurance sucks. As a large employer, they have deductible-based insurance plans regardless of PPO, HMO, etc. The deductibles in PPO for a single person are about $670, and for a whole family, $1500. If you meet your deductible, then it's 80% (insurance) to 20% (employee). If you meet about $4000 in out-of-pocket costs, then insurance covers 100%.

401k match is bad; they do not match the first two years of your employment.

Too many nonsense policies, including security-related stuff for IT. The government does not have strict policies, but theirs are, which do not align with their client (government).

Upper-level managers on the contract side are not to be trusted. They "pull the plug" and leave you alone without any delivery they committed regarding excelling in your career or moving to another contract to learn new skillsets.

No effort from management to retain, learn from, or help their employees.

Advice to Management

I can't recommend anything to management. They won't listen, and they are too disconnected, sitting on their pedestals.
