I joined the interview, but it started almost half an hour late. They asked me about my project and basics of C++, along with a couple of questions on OOP.

Very good. You just have to get the basics of programming done along with Excel, quants, logic, and English, and you are good to go. I'd say one month is enough for preparation. Plenty of material on YouTube also helps.
