Professionally, it was a step back. I was in two bad projects, as there was no focus on knowledge sharing and being better at software quality. Quality was the first thing they sacrificed when deadlines came. They were not transparent, as everything should have gone through the technical lead. We didn't see into others' work so much. I was dropped into the abyss, but the problem was there was barely any documentation about the domain. I expected a ramp-up into the domain, but there was no capacity for that. I feel it was a waste of time considering knowledge growth and experience.
