I personally faced one thing: a near-shore opportunity was cancelled two days before the fly. Authorities (Manager) reviewed and reconsidered this opportunity after raising the exit after one year.
When a person lost an opportunity of going onshore/nearshore two days before flying, they would go through an emotional roller coaster ride. Better treatment for them would be relaxation to get rid of surrounding effects.
