Pros
  1. Free bus facilities.

  2. Your swipe in and swipe out times are not checked by the system, so you can work from anywhere/not work and charge for the day.

  3. Unless your supervisor checks, you can manipulate the details in the timesheet.

  4. Petrol allowance is very good.

Cons
  1. As a fresher, you are going to be used and thrown, as per project requirements.

  2. If you speak up against a lead/manager, they will make sure your ratings are the lowest and that you don't get a project soon, irrespective of how good your work is.

  3. The HR is not your HR; they are the lead's HR. Your concerns will not be counted if it's the higher authorities you are having concerns about.

  4. Hike percentage depends on the project and not Accenture. If you get the same rating as your colleague who joined with you, it does not mean both of your hikes will be the same.

  5. Three months of notice period is hell. They will give you the worst tasks to do, and if you don't do them, they will escalate it to the HR, and then the chain begins.

  6. Bonuses are given every mid-year (June payroll and December payroll). Supposedly, if your last working day in Accenture is on December 29th, and the December payroll (with bonus) is on December 30th, you will not get anything from the bonus you deserve. It's a tactic they use to avoid giving out bonuses.

  7. A lot of micromanagement takes place. It's not the work that is done that matters here. They want you to be in the office until 5 PM, even if there is absolutely no work. There is no flexibility.

  8. The HR will not help you get a project if you are looking for a role based on a new skill.

  9. If you are on the bench, it will affect your bonus (variable pay), which forces you to make decisions against your will to avoid unwanted deductions from the variable pay.

  10. Your work is not of any value if you are career-oriented. If you join here as a fresher, then the freedom will make you stay here (as you don't have much critical work), but in the time of a switch, you will realize you have hardly worked on anything, and that juniors in other companies know much more.
