Pros
  • Big projects for Accenture, not for the employee.
  • Big brands and clients (golden) to trap people.
Cons

Salary:

  • The salary offered is below market.
  • Highest attrition rate due to the above factors; hard work is not always appreciated or valued.

Work Env:

  • Bad work-life balance, even though telecommuting is offered.
  • The office is better described as a political arena.
  • A 10-hour mandatory shift is for those below TL; those above will have flexibility.

Growth:

  • Moderate appreciation for work even after using scheduling tools. If a project changes, everything is in vain.
  • Promotions are partial and biased, mainly depending on your supervisor/AM/manager/Sr. Executive. He is your god.

Project and Process:

  • Hard-locking or trapping people on projects without their consent.
  • Asking people to do work with ITES/BPO skills, like a project, by hiding details before locking them into the confidential agreement with the client.
  • Poor retaining policy, stating that a lot of money was invested in your verification.
  • If you shout, they soften their approach, saying they are in the process of releasing you, then later tell you to search for a skill set matching a project to cheat. That's for show, but something will go on behind the scenes.
  • Then the picture will come to be there or you will be fired.

Check before Get In:

  • If you are planning to move to Accenture, look out for the variable pay system! It may include up to 25% of your total salary! (They will not pay this by making you non-billable or hard-locking you on the bench).
  • So, negotiate well or ask them how much the VP is before signing anything.
  • Not quality work (it deals in support only).
  • No freedom to give your preferences to the company, even after spending 3 years with the company.
