Pros

The salary is good, and the office buses are free.

Good cafeterias and good maintenance.

The Great Place to Work activities entertain you.

Very good chance to shine, as they insist even freshers interact with the client.

Cons

The HR Department is a big headache. The HR department is ineffective on my project (First Data) as they totally don't listen to the people's woes. They just go by the manager's advice and neglect our worries. There is totally no work-life balance, and you get rated very badly if you raise your voice against the common issues in your project. A chance of getting out of the organization is sure.

Some leads, just like in other organizations, tend to play down your effort or the application that you work on.

Advice to Management

If you have a bit of sympathy towards the people working in First Data Group of Financial Services, please make some changes.

We don't have MS Outlook. They insist we work on Web Mail. The mails stay in the inbox for just 120 days. We can't save the mails anywhere. If we don't save them, then we face a lot of trouble.

People working outside the state face a lot of trouble. There is absolutely no work-life balance. We can't call our parents in any emergency. Our mobiles stay in lockers with absolutely little or no signal.

This is by far the worst project. At least learn from other projects like BOA and JPMC on how they keep their employees happy. Just because it is a diamond client and reaping huge profits doesn't mean that it is good management.

People are not at all happy. First Data is a slave job!
