Pros
  • Working with Veterans Affairs to make an impact in the lives of veterans.
  • Decent pay for contract work if it lasts.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • The people on the team were great to work with.
Cons

Was not truthful about contract length and expectations. People have families to feed. Imagine hiring someone and letting them go less than 8 months after that.

Clunky team sizes.

Frontend and backend differentiation lead to poor coordination and misunderstandings between teams.

Advice to Management

Have more empathy for employees by not misleading them about the nature of work. Don't try to cover up the fact that the project plan was always defined at the beginning. Dismissing people was always the plan after certain scopes of work were completed.

Does Accenture want to set the standard to be where a team manager doesn't personally reach out to rolled-off employees? And where the expectations for the length of work are lied about?

Does Accenture follow its own standards of conduct for respecting individuals and integrity?
