If you are lucky enough to get into a good project, it would be well and good. Or else, your career is screwed. Management will force you to work on tools and tech which may not be relevant to one's career. Still, just for project fulfillment, you may have to work on that.
Need to be open to suggestions. Only if people move out does higher management come into the picture. It's not sure if input from employees is taken into account.
