Excellent company, hardly any service-based company is doing this well, thanks to their continuous automation and innovation drive throughout all business portfolios.
I must personally say that the compensation hikes I received each year (5 years continuously) during these challenging times are far better than what the rest of the service-based companies were giving during the same time (contacted many out of my network).
I have seen in other companies where employees keep asking every time of the year when they will receive a hike letter. Here, by December end, the compensation review letter is officially released, guaranteed.
No other company spends so much on training as Accenture does, and most importantly, here for cloud, there is a drive to complete certifications. Accenture gives free vouchers for certifications with which you can book certification exams for free.
If you are in DevOps technology, I must personally suggest getting into the capability pool (a pool of SMEs from DevOps technology). There is plenty to learn on various projects. Though most projects may be short-term, that gives you plenty of opportunities to learn more across various projects.
There are projects in Accenture where you can work from home if you are interested. This was available even before COVID. However, my project demanded office work. If you are in the SME pool (capability pool), you get visibility where such demands exist.
No company near my office, so I had to travel a long distance. Bangalore traffic was becoming bad to worse. I hope the post-COVID era also offers a WFH option, at least for those who spend a lot of time commuting.
Like everywhere, there can be people issues. I can't blame Accenture for them; it's the people who are responsible, and this can happen everywhere.
The variable percentage is a little on the higher side. Make sure you get a clear understanding of it.
It is great that these guys are focusing on technical aspects in the process. 1st round was a test, depending on the tech. 2nd was a technical interview. The questions were good and deep, according to your experience.
The last HR round was pathetic. The interviewer was very rude and didn't have basic common sense. Accenture should train their HRs with some basic manners. Even though I cleared all rounds and submitted all documents, I didn't get an offer letter. I
I had attended the interview, and it was a tedious process. They had given me three time slots for the interview and haven't called me anytime.
