QA Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

Talked to Acorns two different times, once in 2018 and once in 2019. Both experiences were equally disappointing and frustrating. Their job descriptions, interview questions, and expectations of experience are not aligned.

In 2018, I spoke with the HR Exec. She was not the friendliest, nor did she seem enthused, which made keeping a conversation with her very difficult.

The most recent experience, I was contacted by an agency where two recruiters urged me that I would fit their requirements for a mostly manual position that would eventually move into automation. After talking to the hiring manager, who explained he had only been there for a few months, he was asking very in-depth engineering concepts and principles.

Hope everyone gets on the same page. The job descriptions are very far off for what they are looking for.
