Had a series of phone interviews, which were all reasonable. Then had an onsite, which was just abysmal.
The company obviously has no principled approach to interviews. As other interviewees have described, the employees just seem to pull questions off the top of their head.
I was asked, in the final round interview, whether or not I was open to relocation. These are questions that should be asked by the HR representative, not an engineer in a final round interview.
Engineers should ask probing questions that test for intellectual curiosity, a collaborative mindset, etc.
Just terrible.
The final round interview took place over a month ago, and I still have not heard back. Oh well.
