Very Diverse and Value-Driven
- Most diverse company I've ever worked at in software development. Statistically, the majority of developers are white, cisgender, heterosexual men, but I'm encouraged by how diverse it is: women, POC, LGBTQ, transgender, etc.
- Acorns takes their values very seriously and is focused on financial literacy, education, financial accessibility, and social mobility for everyone.
- Very transparent and open to change.
- Great sense of community, even when pretty much everyone is remote.
- No 401k match (yet).
- Still in its late-stage startup phase, so there are challenges getting to public status.
- Slow to innovate or lead in the industry.
