Process

I had read a Glassdoor review previously about how much they hammered home "Adyen culture" and "Adyen values" and figured a lot of places do similar "Love our culture" talks. That review was spot on for my experiences.

I seriously felt like I was being asked more about how much I will eat, breath, sleep Adyen than figuring out my motives or even who I am.

I know someone through a third party working at Adyen. With a straight face and no thought of the context, I was asked: "What have they told you about our culture and values?"

The initial phone call was conducted with very one-sided language. "I am the tech recruiter for Adyen. You need to... It's good if you...."

The screening caller felt the need to ask a question I had already answered as part of the application and via email prior to setting up the meeting. Maybe Adyen culture should include listening or having trust.

The screening call started late, and at the end, when the call was actually four minutes short, the screener felt the need to mention we went over time.

It's a shame technical people are gatekept from talking to technical people by people way too invested in their business' culture.
