I applied online and after a couple of days was called for an initial Skype interview. This was followed by a Codility challenge, which was not so difficult.
After that, there was a technical interview with two of their team members who asked plenty of technical questions about Java, threading, PostgreSQL, etc.
After that, I was invited for an on-site interview with their technical leads in their office in Amsterdam. They did not ask much there, just a normal discussion about your working style, like how you tackle a problem, how you manage consensus in the team, and how you criticize an idea. It’s fair to say they were more focused towards cultural and behavioral fit rather than technical.
It was very strange that technical people were evaluating behavior and working style, and finally, they did not offer me and gave the reason that your previous working background culture does not match with us.
However, the recruiter was a very nice lady. She was very cooperative in fixing the interview dates and arranging travel and hotel.
Codility test, Java, Threading, Postgres
