Senior Software Developer Interview Experience - India
Process
Connected via LinkedIn, the whole process took more than a month to conduct a single round of interview (total 6 weeks - 2+3+1).
After the initial HR call, it took 2 weeks to provide the assignment, which had to be completed within 2 days.
Later, after submission, it took 3 weeks to get back with an update to schedule the 1st round of interview for the next week.
What was expected as per HR notification: You will be asked in-depth questions about your skills and the projects you have worked on, using STAR to explain in detail.
What actually happened: Assignment review for 1.5 hours with multiple test cases and in-depth explanation of why and what can be done alternatively and outliners, at the point where I almost forgot what the assignment was due to the delay in the process.
After another week, they got back with an update with a rejection.
