Given a take-home assessment with a 2-hour time limit, I completed it and passed all given unit tests.
A week later, I met with an engineer at Adyen to go over the THA results and answer some technical questions unrelated to the THA. I felt the interview went well.
A few days later, I received an automated email saying I failed the previous interview due to some nit-picky reasons concerning things I missed that were never mentioned by my recruiter or the assessment itself (i.e., lack of unit tests, even though the company provided ~20 hidden unit tests via HackerRank).
Overall, the interview process itself was straightforward, but I feel slightly in the dark here. Had I known about miscellaneous extra requirements needed, I would have done them during the take-home assessment.
